To configure sites for Smart 3D Web APIs, you use the Configuration Utility's Smart 3D Data page, Sites sections.

Both APIs share the same configuration.

Go to the Smart 3D Data page > Smart 3D Sites sections

  1. On any machine where the web API services are installed, open the Configuration Utility:

    Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > Web API Configuration Tool

  2. On the Welcome page, select Configure Smart 3D Data.

  3. Click Next until you see one of the following sections on the Smart 3D Data page:

    • Add Site - This section appears first if no sites have been configured for use with the API yet.

    • Sites - This section appears first if sites are already configured for use with the API.

  4. Continue with the steps below for the section you see.

Smart 3D Data Page - Add Site Section

  1. For Site Alias, enter the alias to use in the API URL requests. This alias represents the combination of the Smart 3D site database name and the server on which it is installed.

  2. For Server Name, enter the Smart 3D database server name.

  3. For Database Name, enter the Smart 3D site database name.

  4. For Database Provider, choose the kind of database being used, either MSSQL or Oracle.

  5. Click Add Site.

    The Sites section appears, showing you the information you've provided.

  1. Click Add .

  2. For Site Alias, enter the alias to use in the API URL requests. This alias represents the combination of the Smart 3D site database name and the server on which it is installed.

  3. For Server Name, enter the Smart 3D database server name.

  4. For Database Name, enter the Smart 3D site database name.

  5. For Database Provider, choose the kind of database being used, either MSSQL or Oracle.

  6. Click Add Site.

  7. Click Next to enable the plants.

To remove a site:

  1. Select the row containing the site information.

  2. Click Delete .
