  2. On the Welcome page, select Setup Web Server.

If you have not previously configured your Web API Database Connection and RabbitMQ service, the Configure Database Connection & Prerequisites check box is automatically checked and the steps defined in the Configure Database Connection and Prerequisites section are invoked before starting the Web Site configuration.

  3. Click Next.

  4. From Web Site, select whether to create a new web site or use an existing site.

    1. If you are creating a new web site, type a name in the Web Site Name box.

    2. If you are creating a new web site, type the port to use in the Http Port box. Valid ports are 0 to 65535.

    3. Type a name for the application in the Application Name box.

    4. Type or select the application pool to run the Web API in the Application Pool box. If you are using Windows Authentication to access the configuration database, the identity of the selected Application Pool must have access to the database where the configuration information is stored (see Modify the Application Pool.)

The Application Pool Identity displays below the Application Pool box. You need to grant additional permissions to this user. See Grant Modify Permissions to Web Server Files.

    5. Change the https information if necessary.

    6. Click Next.

The next step is to define the Intergraph Smart API Manager information for authorization.

  5. Enter the connection information for your installation of Intergraph Smart API Manager. Intergraph Smart 3D Web API also supports other authorization servers following the Auth 2.0 protocol. You can provide connection information to the other authorization issuers if you are not using Intergraph Smart API Manager.

Intergraph Smart API Manager is licensed separately. Refer to that application's installation and configuration instructions if not already installed.
