This document provides guidelines for upgrading Intergraph Smart® 3D 2018 to Intergraph Smart 3D 14 Update 2 configurations. Intergraph Smart 3D 14 Update 2 supports upgrade from the following versions:

Smart 3D 2018 to 14 Update 2

Smart 3D 2019 to 14 Update 2

Smart 3D 13 to 14 Update 2

Smart 3D 13.1 to 14 Update 2
All Smart 3D configurations from releases prior to 2018 need to be upgraded to 2018 or 2019 before
upgrading to 14 Update 2. Please see the appropriate release’s Upgrade Guide, delivered with the corresponding
2018 or 2019 software, for upgrading to this version.
Steps are also included to upgrade Smart 3D configurations that are in a SmartPlant Enterprise integrated environment, as well as those in a Global Workshare configuration.
For Global Workshare configurations, upgrading from either the 2018 release to the 14 Update 2 release requires a consolidation of databases. For assistance with this process,
