Places a volume in the model by selecting a pre-defined volume shape from a palette and then providing dimensional information to define the shape size. The list of volume shapes is obtained from the Equipment and Furnishings reference data for designed equipment and can be customized.

After the appropriate information is provided, the location of the space object in the model is controlled graphically by dragging the shape around the model. You can use existing tools such as the SmartSketch relationship indicators and PinPoint Command to position the shape. Each volume has an origin point as part of its definition, and the location of the volume is always relative to the active coordinate system.
