You can branch from an existing SIO straight pipe using a branching component. This is done by welding the branch/nozzle to the existing pipeline without cutting it during the pre-shutdown period. However, during shutdown, the existing line is cut open at the tie-in nozzle, and the new pipeline connected. To accomplish this, you must demolish the SIO pipe, and add a new Smart 3Dpipe before you can tie-in.
-
In Piping, select the SIO pipe to tie-in.
-
Click Delete .
-
Use the Route Pipe Command command to route a new pipeline.
-
Branch off the newly created pipe.
