Sets options for managing block intersections in the model. The ribbon displays automatically after you select Manage Block Intersections .

Select Intersections

Allows you to select elements to be queried for intersections. You can select any of the following: Parts, Cutting Planes, or Blocks.

Manage Block Intersections

Displays the Manage Block Intersections Dialog Box.

 Cancel

Clears the current selections and starts over.

 Accept

Accepts all the current selections.

Select by

Controls the method of query for intersections. At least one of the three Select by options must always be checked.

Parts

Indicates that only parts are selectable and that all intersections of the selected parts must be listed on the Manage Block Intersections Dialog Box. You can use the Fence command to "fence in" the parts you want to select in the graphic view.

Cutting Planes

Indicates that only cutting planes are selectable and that all intersections with the selected cutting planes must be listed in the Manage Block Intersections dialog box. Selecting by Cutting Planes and Blocks means that only cutting planes and blocks are selectable and that all intersections with the selected cutting planes and blocks are listed in the dialog box.

Blocks

Indicates that only blocks are selectable and that all intersections with the selected blocks must be listed on the Manage Block Intersections dialog box. Selecting by Cutting Planes and Blocks means that only cutting planes and blocks are selectable and that all intersections with the selected cutting planes and blocks are listed in the dialog box.

  • Selecting by Cutting Planes and Blocks means that only cutting planes and blocks are selectable and that all intersections with the selected cutting planes and blocks are listed in the dialog box.

  • Selecting by Parts along with cutting planes or Blocks allows you to select parts and cutting planes or blocks; however, all intersections between the selected parts and the selected cutting planes or blocks must be listed in the dialog box. If no cutting planes or blocks have been selected, all intersections of the selected parts are listed.

Show intersections

Specifies whether or not structural or outfitting intersections are listed.

Structural

Specifies that structural intersections be listed on the Manage Block Intersections dialog box.

Outfitting

Specifies that outfitting intersections be listed on the Manage Block Intersections dialog box.
