Allows you to create, review, and modify the assembly sequence. The sequence determines the order of assembly of the objects (parts, assemblies, assembly blocks) within an assembly or assembly block.

SHARED Tip Sequences can also be created using Sequence .

Index

Specifies the assembly order of the selected object.

Name

Lists assembly objects, which are all planning objects that are a first-order child of the selected assembly, excluding planning joints. A sequence number for the objects that have been assigned to the sequence precedes the object name. Unsequenced objects are listed below the sequenced objects and do not have a sequence number. By default, objects are not sequenced. Selecting objects in the list highlights the object in the graphics view and enables the relevant Move up and Move down buttons.

Build Method

Specifies the method used to position child objects in the block. The list contains all available values as defined in the reference data for the assigned workcenter, typically Vertical Drop, Drop at angle, Slide, and Default. The list is defined by the BuildMethodData codelist.

Slot Connectivity

Specifies the minimum welding requirement at profile and slot intersections to meet the build method requirements. The list contains all available values as defined in the reference data, typically None, Webleft, Webright, Double, N/A, and Default. The list is defined by the SlotConnectivityData codelist.

Build Equipment

Identifies the equipment being used to join the objects of the assembly. The drop-down list contains all available build equipment as defined in the reference data. Examples of build equipment include jig floors and bending equipment. Values from the Default Build Equipment property on the General Tab (Block Properties Dialog Box) are displayed by default. Build equipment can be changed for each object, overriding the General tab value.

Fit to Selection ICON Fit to Selection

Fits the selected objects to the graphic view.

Normalize Indices ICON Normalize Indices

Removes any gaps that may exist in the index. For example, if the existing index sequence is 1, 2, and 4, Normalize Indices changes the sequence to 1, 2, and 3.

Refresh Indices ICON Refresh Indices

Sorts the indices in ascending order.

Paste Rows

Inserts previously cut rows above the selected row.

Cut Rows ICON Cut Rows

Copies and removes the selected rows. Click Paste Rows to add them back to the table. If you do not click Paste Rows , the cut rows stay at their current location.

 Move to Top

Assigns the selected object with the first index.

 Move Up

Moves the selected objects up one row in the grid. Moving a grouped, sequenced object moves the entire group.

 Move Down

Moves the selected object down one row in the grid. Moving a grouped, sequenced object moves the entire group.

Moving an object up or down does not sequence it unless the object to which it is being moved above or below has been sequenced.

 Move to Bottom

Assigns the selected object with the last index.

 Sequence/Unsequence

Assigns or removes an assembly sequence to or from the content of the assembly or block. The items contained in the selected assembly or block are sequenced or unsequenced by the order in which they are selected.

The Sequence and Unsequence button toggles, based on whether the selected object has been sequenced. If both sequenced and unsequenced objects are selected, then the button is inactive.

Select All

Selects all of the sequences in the table.

Group

Groups the selected sequenced objects so that they have the same assigned sequence number. Also sequences objects if they were not previously sequenced. The button remains disabled until multiple objects are selected. Defining a new group overrules groups that have been previously defined. Groups are dissolved if unsequencing is applied.

Ungroup

Ungroups the highlighted grouped objects. The button is disabled if no grouped objects are selected.

Apply Rule

Applies the rule selected in the drop-down list to all selected items (sequenced and nonsequenced). The standard rules delivered with the software are SequenceBySize (projected area in manufacturing orientation descending) and SequenceByWeight (object weight descending). For more information, see Assembly Sequencing Rules in Planning Reference Data.

Auto Normalize

Automatically normalizes the indices after each operation.

Auto Refresh

Automatically refreshes the indices after each operation.

Auto Highlight

Automatically highlights the selected objects in the graphic view.
