  1. Select Piping Features in the Locate Filter.

  2. Select the straight feature to move.

  3. Set the Length Lock as needed.

  4. Select Move To .

  5. Click to commit the new location for the pipe.

    The software extends or shortens the pipe with splits. If the connected pipes have no splits, the software does not modify their lengths as shown in the examples below.

  6. Select the modified straight feature.

  7. On the edit ribbon, select a purchase length from the Option list.

  • The software automatically inserts a split and creates new purchase length pipe with the default Straight Option.

  • When you move a straight feature, such as a pipe, the default working plane is the plane of one of the adjacent turns. The software selects the turn first by the plane that includes branches, and then by the plane of larger nominal diameter.

  • You can select one of the orientation handles that appear at the ends of the straight feature as your move from point. These orientation handles allow you to move the pipe in relation to the edge of the pipe instead of the pipe centerline.
