After creating a Smart Interop Publisher project, add your PDMS source files and perform the translation. If you have custom properties, make sure you have the mapping completed and the .xlsx worksheets placed in an accessible folder. Follow the translation steps listed below.

  1. On the Smart Interop Publisher Models tab, select the project you just created.

  2. On the Source Files grid, click Add , and then select the exported.zvf file. Make sure the .xml and .zvf files (data and graphics) files are in the same folder.

  3. Select each source file to use in creating the Smart Model, and then click Translate .

    SHARED Tip Use SHIFT+ or CTRL+ key combinations to select multiple source files.

  4. On the Translate Source File Dialog, type a name and location for the Smart Model.

  5. Select the project Settings Group you defined in Create a project in Smart Interop Publisher.

  6. If you used custom mapping, set the Mapping Options to Custom and select the Mapping Files Location of the custom PDMS mapping template file you edited.

  7. Click Translate. Alternatively, to schedule the translation for a later time, click Schedule. For more information on scheduling, see Schedule a job.

  8. The software displays the resulting Smart Model in the Smart Models grid. Right-click on the Smart Model and select Open File Location to see the files created from the translation.
