Several workbooks define geometric construction interfaces and macros. An interface is delivered with the software. A macro is created from a set of interfaces. The workbooks are delivered to the [Product Folder]\ShipCatalogData\BulkLoad\DataFiles folder and are bulkloaded into the Catalog.

Each workbook has a GeometricConstructionTypes worksheet listing the interfaces or macros. Each worksheet has the following values:

  • Name - Name of the interface or macro.

  • Description - Description of the interface or macro.

  • Definition - ProgID of the geometric construction interface

The ClassNodeType and R-Hierarchy worksheets define the organization of the geometric constructions in the catalog hierarchy.

GCMacroDefs.xls

Defines geometric construction macros, components, and advanced plate systems on the GeometricConstructionTypes worksheet.

GCShipDefs.xls

Defines geometric construction interfaces specific to marine objects on the GeometricConstructionTypes worksheet.

GCShipWrapperDefs.xls

Defines geometric construction macros specific to marine objects on the GeometricConstructionTypes worksheet.

GCTemplateDefs.xls

Defines templates used to create geometric construction macros and advanced plate systems on the GeometricConstructionTypes worksheet.

GCStandardOpenings.xls

Defines geometric construction macros used to create advanced parametric openings in marine objects. Each macro type is on a separate worksheet:

  • 0SStdAdvOpenings - Openings are defined by X, Y, and Z coordinates.

  • 3SStdAdvOpenings - Pre-defined opening shapes (circle, oval, and rectangle) are defined relative to three supports.

  • 4SStdAdvOpenings - Pre-defined opening shapes (circle, oval, and rectangle) are defined relative to four supports.

  • SuppAndOffsetOpenings - Openings are defined as offsets from three or four supports.
