Edge feature symbols are delivered in the [Reference Data Folder]\SharedContent\FTLIBRRY\Edge Features folder and the [Reference Data Folder]\SharedContent\MarineLibrary\Edge Features folder.
Place Edge Feature 
lets you select the Method and Type after you select an edge.
When Method is set to Along Edge or Offset and Type is set to Edge Feature, then Smart 3D places CutEdge by default. You can select OffEdge items by setting the question Off of Edge to Yes on the Properties dialog box as shown in following picture.
