The following changes have been made to the Material Handling task.

Version 2016 (11.0)

• Added new Preview and Undo options for placing fasteners. See Place Fastener Openings Dialog. (P2 CP:290991)

• The Quick Layout Command allows you to create a conveyor belt, including the belt profile, directly in the 3D view. (P2 CP:241968)

• The Place Belt Components in 3D Command allows you to create belt equipment (such as idlers and pulleys), modules (such as trusses), and trestles directly in the 3D environment. (P2 CP:2469183 and P2 CP:247957)

• The Packing Thickness in 3D Command allows you to add or remove packing material thickness below idlers so that they mount perfectly on the trusses in the 3D environment. (P2 CP:250427 and P2 CP:250536)

• The Create/Modify Belt Regions Command allows you to define flat, transition, and trough zones in each belt region. (P2 CP:251147)

• A new option, Materials Handling Wearplates, has been added to Select Catalog Object Type list under Catalog Browser in the Catalog Exporter Dialog. (P2 CP:268439)

• You can place overland conveyor belts with both horizontal and vertical curves. See Place Conveyor Belt Command. (P2 CP:232441)

• Added a property called IdlerHeight to 2D belt component symbols. This property synchronizes the idler height value so that it displays appropriately in both 2D and 3D. See Place module symbols in 2D. (P2 CP:247967 and P2 CP:252735)

• You can add custom commands as a toolbar in the Sketch 2D environment. See Add custom commands to the Sketch 2D toolbar. (P2 CP:215587)

• You can now place a conveyor belt using an .xls file created by Sidewinder. See Place a conveyor belt using an .xml or .xls file. (P3 CP:203907)

• Added new options, Display Grid Lines, Footings, and Depth, to the Place 2D Trestles dialog box. See Place Tab (Trestles). (P3 CP:218757) (P3 CP:245638)

• You can now select modules to edit in the graphic view. See Modify the relationship between a belt object and a belt. (P3 CP:257353)

• Added the Zoom To option to the Belt Correction Tool dialog box. See Belt Correction Tool Dialog. (P3 CP:264356)

• Edited the Preview and Finish options on the Edit Belt Region dialog box. See Create/Modify Belt Regions Command. (P3 CP:266602)

• SmartSketch is no longer required for the Material Handling task. (P3 CP:279797)

• Added the Place Base Plate custom command to place base plates from the catalog on specified columns. See Place Base Plate Command. (P3 CP:281123)

• The MHE Catalog Exporter tool has been renamed as Belt Components Catalog Exporter. Access the tool from Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > Database Tools > Belt Components Catalog Exporter. See Belt Components Catalog Exporter. (P3 CP:283972)

• The Modify Thickness Direction Commandnow aligns the primary profile orientation with the thickness direction. (P4 CP:272539)

• Smart 3D can now calculate a fastener from the catalog that meets your requirements. See Place Fastener Openings Dialog and Fastener Details Dialog. (P4 CP:230451 and CP:260277)

• The Modify Components Relation Command allows you to modify the belt profile without moving the belt components. (P2 CP:299870)
