Click Place Belt Components in 3D Command
on the vertical toolbar.

Select a belt profile.

In the Select Parent box, select a parent system for the idlers.

In the Type of Components box, select Equipment to display the Place Equipment Dialog.

Select the idler symbol, and select or create a system for the idlers.

Type the number of idlers, the offset of the first idler from the starting location, and the spacing between idlers.

Select the equipment orientation.
Idlers are typically placed along the carry region of a belt. Normal to Belt and Vertical Up are common orientations.

Select a selection mode and a placement direction.

In the graphic view, click a starting location. Click a point for the Point on Belt Path selection mode, or click existing equipment for the Existing Equipment selection mode.

Click Preview in the dialog.
A preview of the idlers displays.

To change the idlers, click Undo, and then make the required changes to the idler properties.

To place the idlers and leave the dialog open for addition placement, click Apply.

To place the idlers and close the dialog, click OK.
The software adds the idler symbols to the model.
