The Smart 3D Integration Service runs as a separate software executable to monitor changes to a selected Smart 3D model and synchronize those changes to HxGN SDx2. When you enable this service, changes are processed for new, modified, or deleted native 3D objects and Smart Interop Objects (SIOs) that have been generated from Intergraph SmartĀ® Interop Publisher translated data. Updates are then made available for downstream enterprise applications.
Here are the basic steps for using the Integration Service:
-
Register with HxGN HxGN SDx2 so that you can share data from your Smart 3D model with HxGN SDx2.
-
Start the Integration Service and Configure Integration Service Settings. Although you can start the service at any time after installation, the service does not share data until integration settings are configured. This allows you to configure settings for one or more models in the same or different site databases.
-
Follow the procedures described in the Setting up an integrated environment section in the HxGN SDx2 Help. This information explains how to set up access rights and any other integration requirements for sending data to HxGN SDx2.
After the Integration Service starts, Smart 3D automatically checks new, modified, or deleted objects apart from existing objects. When you create, modify, or delete an object, the service sends these changes to HxGN SDx2. You can define the time interval between when the service checks for added, modified, or deleted objects. This listener service does not process drawing-specific aspects and style rules.
Licensing
When the Intergraph Smart 3D Integration Service is running, the process consumes one Smart 3D Design Collaboration license per Smart 3D model.
