Set up the PDS project and data - Intergraph Smart 3D - Connectors & Integration - Hexagon

Before you export your PDS data, use tools to run the MetaData Adapter to synchronize the data with the PDS3DToolMapSchema.xml. When this is completed, other users can export or synchronize data for the same project.

Before You Begin

Copy the files listed below from the C:\WIN32APP\INGR\PDSHELL\config folder to the project folder containing the model data for export.

• PDSComponent.xml

• PDS3DToolMapSchema.xml

• SPFConfiguration.xls - three versions of the spreadsheet file are delivered with PD_Shell.

  • SPFConfiguration.xls – English Units Projects

  • mixSPFConfiguration.xls – Mixed Units (Metric Dimensions and English NPD) Projects

  • mSPFConfiguration.xls – Metric Units Projects

If you use either the mSPFConfiguration.xls file or the mixSPFConfiguration.xls file, you must rename the copied file to 'SPFConfiguration.xls'.

Workflow

1. Create Selection Set and Publish Material Data.

2. Synchronize PDS Project Data with the Tool Schema.

3. Update the Tool Schema File.

4. Apply the Instruction File.
