Rich Hanger Beam Properties

Basic Steel Properties

These attributes define the common properties of hanger beam steel.

IJOAHsHgrBeamType::HgrBeamType

Specifies whether the hanger beam is Cutback steel or Snipped steel. HgrBeamType is a codelisted value. Allowed values are from HS_System_Codelist.xls are 1- Cutback Steel and 2 - Snipped Steel.

  • Cutback steel is not supported for circular cross sections, such as HSSR and Pipe.

  • Snipped steel is only supported for an L cross section.

IJUAhsOccOverLength:: BeginOverLength

Specifies the over length at the beginning of the steel. BeginOverLength can be either positive or negative.

IJUAhsOccOverLength:: EndOverLength

Specifies the over length at the end of the steel. EndOverLength can be either positive or negative.

IJUAhsOccLength::Length

Specifies the length of the steel. The software calculates Length using the start and end points in the graphic when you place the steel.

IJUAhsVarLength::VarLength

Specifies the cut length of the steel when you apply cutback angles, snip angles, or overlength on the steel.

Use the following properties to map and retrieve the geometry information from structural workbook, StructCrossSections-<Standard Name>.xls.

HgrRelation(i):ClassName

Specifies the cross section type. Example, L, C, W, and so on.

HgrRelation(i):Standard

Specifies the standard name. It is a codelisted value from HS_System_Codelist.xls. For example, AISC, CISC, Japan, China, Aust, and so on.

tHgrRelation(i):SectionName

Specifies the section name. Use the SecionName from StructCrossSections-<Standard Name>.xls. For example, HSS32x24x.625, C15x50, L8x8x1-1/8, and so on.

IJOAhsReflect::Reflect

Specifies the plane for the reflection of Rich Hanger Beam. The following codelist values are available in the hsReflectType sheet of the HS_S3DParts_Codelist workbook.

  • 0 - No

  • 1 - Along Flange Plane

  • 2 - Along Web Plane

IJOAhsReflect::ReflectPlaneOffset

Specifies the offset for the Reflect Plane from the Cardinal Point 1 of the section.

Cutback Steel Properties

These attributes define the cutback steel properties.

IJOAhsCutback::BeginCutbackAnchorPoint

Specifies the edge for the cutback at the begin face. The codelisted values from the CutbackAnchorPoint sheet in the HS_System_Codelist.xls are 2 - Bottom Center, 4 - Left Center, 6 - Right Center, and 8 - Top Center

IJOAhsCutback::EndCutbackAnchorPoint

Specifies the edge for the cutback at the end face. The codelisted values from the CutbackAnchorPoint sheet in the HS_System_Codelist.xls are 2 - Bottom Center, 4 - Left Center, 6 - Right Center, and 8 - Top Center

IJOAhsCutback:: CutbackBeginAngle

Specifies the start cutback angle for the steel. For CutbackAnchorPoint set to 2 or 8, the face ports rotate by the cutback angle and align along the cutback face.

IJOAhsCutback::CutbackEndAngle

Specifies the end cutback angle for the steel. For CutbackAnchorPoint set to 2 or 8, the face ports rotate by the cutback angle and align along the cutback face.

These properties specify the Flange and Web modifications when a hanger is snipped by various offset values and angles.

Specifies the angle with which the begin face of the flange is snipped.

IJOAhsSnipedSteel::CutbackBeginAngle2

Specifies the angle with which the begin face of the web is snipped.

IJOAhsSnipedSteel::CutbackEndAngle1

Specifies the angle with which the end face of the flange is snipped.

IJOAhsSnipedSteel::CutbackEndAngle2

Specifies the angle with which the end face of the web is snipped.

IJOAhsFacePortOrient::FacePortOrient

Specifies whether the face port orientation is aligned along the flange, or the web when a snip angle is applied. It is a codelisted value from the hsFacePortOrient sheet in the HS_System_Codelist.xls workbook. Allowed values are: 1 - Face Port Orient Along Flange and 2 - Face Port Orient Along Web.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP1

Specifies the cardinal point of the BeginCap port. The default location of CP1 is 1.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP2

Specifies the cardinal point of the EndCap port. The default location of CP2 is 1.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP3

Specifies the cardinal point of the BeginFace port. The default location of CP3 is 5.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP4

Specifies the cardinal point of the EndFace port. The default location of CP4 is 5.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP5

Specifies the cardinal point of the Neutral port. The default location of CP5 is 5.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP6

Specifies the cardinal point of the BeginFlex port. The default location of CP6 is 8.

IJOAhsSteelCP::CP7

Specifies the cardinal point of the EndFlex port. The default location of CP7 is 8.

IJOAhsBeginCap::BeginCapXOffset

Specifies the offset with which the BeginCap port is moved in the x-axis.

IJOAhsBeginCap::BeginCapYOffset

Specifies the offset with which the BeginCap port is moved in the y-axis.

IJOAhsBeginCap::BeginCapRotZ

Specifies the angle with which the BeginCap port is rotated about its z-axis.

IJOAhsEndCap::EndCapXOffset

Specifies the offset with which the EndCap port is moved in the x-axis.

Specifies the offset with which the EndCap port is moved in the y-axis.
