IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideSymbol

Specifies the drawing symbol to use on the primary side. This property is applicable only for fillet weld.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideSymbol

Specifies the drawing symbol to use on the secondary side. This property is applicable only for fillet weld.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideGroove

Specifies the type of groove on the primary side. Available codelist values are:

  • None

  • Square

  • V

  • Bevel

  • U

  • J

  • Flare-V

  • Flare-Bevel

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideGroove

Specifies the type of groove on the secondary side. Available codelist values are:

  • None

  • Square

  • V

  • Bevel

  • U

  • J

  • Flare-V

  • Flare-Bevel

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideGrooveSize

Specifies the actual depth of penetration of the weld. This property is defined as rule-based, but no value is computed. You can set a reasonable value for this property based on factors such as material thickness, bevel depth, and so on.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideGrooveSize

Specifies the actual depth of penetration of the weld. This property is defined as rule-based, but no value is computed.You can set a reasonable value for this based on factors such as material thickness, bevel depth, and so on.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideActualThroatThickness

Specifies the depth of bevel from the primary side. This property is set from the bevel parameters. A bevel depth of zero indicates that there is no bevel.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideActualThroatThickness

Specifies the depth of bevel from the secondary side. This property is set from the bevel parameters. A bevel depth of zero indicates that there is no bevel.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideNominalThroatThickness

Specifies the fillet throat thickness, if it is a fillet weld.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideNominalThroatThickness

Specifies the elementary symbol on the secondary side.

IJWeldingSymbol::FieldWeld

Specifies whether this is a site or field weld. This is a codelisted value. Allowed values are:

  • YES

  • NO

IJWeldingSymbol::AllAround

Indicates that the weld extends all the way around the joint that the arrow is pointing at. This is a codelisted value. Allowed values are:

  • YES

  • NO

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideSupplementarySymbol

Specifies whether the shape of the weld surface on the primary side needs to be indicated precisely.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideSupplementarySymbol

Specifies whether the shape of the weld surface on the secondary side needs to be indicated precisely.

IJWeldingSymbol::WeldTailNotes

Specifies the text to be added in the tail notes. If WeldTailNotes is set to "TYP", the weld symbol shows the tail area with the text "TYP" in it. If WeldTailNotes is not populated, the tail area is not displayed.

IJWeldingSymbol::TailNoteIsReference

Specifies whether a tail note is applied to the reference part. This property is valid only if a tail note is provided.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideLength

Specifies the length of the weld on the arrow side. This property is used only for intermittent welds. This property sets the nominal length of the individual weld segments.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideLength

Specifies the length of the weld on the other side.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySidePitch

Specifies the center-to-center spacing on the arrow side.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySidePitch

Specifies the center-to-center spacing distance on the other side.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideDiameter

Specifies the diameter of the spot weld on the arrow side.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideDiameter

Specifies the diameter of the spot weld on the other side.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideContour

Specifies the finished contour of the face of the weld. Contour symbols are used with weld symbols to show how the face of the weld is formed. Set this property to NONE for all weld types.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideContour

Specifies the finished contour of the face of the weld. Contour symbols are used with weld symbols to show how the face of the weld is formed. Set this property to NONE for all weld types.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideFinishMethod

Indicates the method to use for forming the contour of the weld. A finish method shows the method of finish, not the degree of finish. For example, a C is used to indicate finish by chipping, an M indicates machin\-ing, and a G indicates grinding. This property is set to NONE for all weld types. This sets the finishing method (usually a machining operation) to achieve the needed contour.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideFinishMethod

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideRootOpening

Specifies the primary side root opening. This property dimensions the space between the joint to be welded and is placed inside the weld symbol. For all butt types, set this property to full opening.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideRootOpening

Specifies the secondary side root opening. This property dimensions the space between the joint to be welded and is placed inside the weld symbol. For all butt types, set this property to zero.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideGrooveAngle

Specifies the total included angle of the groove between parts joined by a groove weld in the primary side. The groove angle is also placed inside the weld symbol and is given in degrees.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideGrooveAngle

Specifies the total included angle of the groove between parts joined by a groove weld in the secondary side. The groove angle is also placed inside the weld symbol and is given in degrees.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideNumberOfWelds

Specifies the number of welds on the arrow side. This property is valid only for intermittent welds.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideNumberOfWelds

Specifies the number of welds on the other side. This property is valid only for intermittent welds.

IJWeldingSymbol::PrimarySideActualLegLength

Specifies the leg length of a fillet weld from the primary side. This property is valid only for fillet welds.

IJWeldingSymbol::SecondarySideActualLegLength

Specifies the leg length of a fillet weld from the secondary side. This property is valid only for fillet welds.
