Pipe saddle shares the following basic attributes with U-Bolt SmartPart. These properties define the geometry of the U-Bolt.

For these properties, the default unit of distance is "mm". Specify "in" at the end of the dimensional value to use inches (for example 10in).

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltWidth

Specifies the center-to-center distance between the legs of the U-Bolt. This value is always greater than UBoltRodDia and determines the spacing of the vertical legs of the U-Bolt as well as the bend radius for the curved part of the U-Bolt. The nominal bend radius is equal to half the UBoltWidth dimension.

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltCenterToEnd

Specifies the distance from the pipe centerline to the end of the U-Bolt legs.

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltRodDia

Specifies the diameter of the round stock used to make the U-Bolt. If this value is zero, none of the U-Bolt shape is drawn (unless the UBoltDia2 is non-zero).

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltDia2

Specifies a diameter change, for round insulation, coatings, or to delete the curved part of the U-Bolt. If this value is greater than zero, changes the diameter of the curved part of the U-Bolt starting at the position UBoltDia2Start as shown in Figure 1. This value can be larger or smaller than UBoltRodDia. If the value is zero, defaults to the same diameter as UBoltRodDia. If the value is less than zero, curved part of U-Bolt is not visible in the graphics starting at the UBoltDia2Start as shown in Figure 2.

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltDia2Start

Specifies the start position of a diameter change and is used to represent round insulation, coatings, or to delete the curved part of the U-Bolt. If UBoltDia2 is zero or the same as UBoltRodDia, then this value has no effect because there is no change in the rod diameter.

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltFlatSpot

Controls whether a flat-spot is shown on the curved part of the U-Bolt and also reduces the bend radius and center points for the curved part of the U-Bolt. If this value is positive, a flat spot is shown in the curved section of the U-Bolt. If this value is zero, no flat spot is shown. This value is always less than BoltCenters1 minus UBoltRodDia.

If the value for UBoltDia2 is negative, then this flat spot value is ignored because there is no curved part of the U-Bolt to have a flat spot.

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltTopGap

Specifies the gap between outside of pipe and inside of U-Bolt (this gap is based on UBoltRodDia, not on UBoltDia2). This value affects the vertical position of the bend radius center for the curved portion of the U-Bolt.

IJUAhsUBolt::UBoltOneSided

Specifies if the U-Bolt is one-sided. If it is set to Yes, the right side of the U-Bolt is not shown below the tangent point, nor are the nuts included on the right side.
