Provides options for generating Smart Interop Objects.

Source Folder

Specify the folder that contains the .zvf and .mdb2 data created by Smart Interop Publisher. This data contains the PDS, PDMS, or Intergraph Smart 3D data to import into Smart 3D as Smart Interop Objects.

Site

Displays the active Smart 3D site. If needed, you can change the active site using Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > Modify Database and Schema Location.

Model

Select the model to which to add the Smart Interop Objects. You can select any of the models in the active site. The first time that you add Smart Interop Objects to a model, the software updates that model and its catalog with additional schema information. This schema update requires the regeneration of the model and catalog database views, which could take a while to complete depending on the size of the model.

Permission Group

Select the permission group to which to assign the Smart Interop Objects. All model permission groups to which you have access display. Use Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > Project Management to create new permission groups if needed.

Status

Displays informational messages regarding the progress of the generate Smart Interop Object process.

View Log

Opens the log file using your default text editor. Each time you run the Generate SIO utility, the software creates a single log file (named GenerateSIO_ProcessID_<Year_Month_Day_Hour_Minute_Second>.log) and saves it in the %TEMP% folder. The log file contains pertinent details about the generation process, including a timestamp for when the process began, the name of the active Smart 3D site, the source folder containing the .zvf and .mdb2 files, and the name of any Excel mapping file that was used. The log file also reports any errors the software encountered during the process, such as missing objects, missing or incorrectly mapped properties, and missing parent/child relationships.

Generate

Creates the Smart Interop Objects in the specified model and assigns them to the specified permission group. This process can take several minutes. A message displays in the Status box when the process is complete.
