Select the object to rotate.

Click Rotate Object on the main toolbar, or click Edit > Rotate Object to display the Rotate Object Ribbon.

Select Perpendicular to both References from the Axis direction list. This option uses the rotation axis direction that is perpendicular to both a reference on the object and a reference in the model.

If necessary, click Axis Position Point to move the axis of rotation.

If the reference is on the object, click Reference on Rotation Object , and select a line or plane to use as a reference on the object being rotated.

Click Reference on Stationary Object , and select a line or plane to use as a reference on another object in the model.
A second line appears and the angle between the two lines displays in the Angle field.

Click Rotate by precision graphic input on the ribbon. This option allows you to click a point in the model to orient graphically the object using a reference on the object. You can use the SmartSketch relationship indicators to locate the point.
Alternatively, type the angle that you want between the reference plane (dashed line) on the rotation object and the reference plane (dashed line) on the stationary object in the Angle box.

Click Close.
