-
Define Specification Table Names as per specification header.
-
Define Specification Attributes at Specification Header or Specification Item level which will show the details for a specification.
-
A specification header displays descriptive information. Most of the information, such as general material, can be assigned by Materials table details (identical to commodity code tables). The specification rule enables any table type defined on Tables to be used for this purpose.
-
Create Specification Type to categorize and organize the specifications. The specification types can be used for any kind of organization; for example, based on company departments, plant types, main specification material, media, or other information.
-
Define Specification Code. This code is created with meaningful codes such as the nominal pressure, the main material group, corrosion allowance, end type and a sequential number etc.
-
Define and associate Filter geometric tables with Spec Name.
-
Service limits are defined as per specification in filter geometrics or at spec header tab
-
Define and associate filter geometrics to spec header with applicable size range.
-
Define and associate specification details like fluid code, material grade, corrosion allowance, design code and rating class etc. to specification.
-
Define Short Codes. SDB has defined all the short codes with respect to each part to create a mapping between Short Codes and Smart 3D short codes. This enables the export of mapped Smart 3D short codes whenever data is exported for the Smart 3D interface.
-
Select applicable Short Codes for specification items.
-
Each short code is selected with appropriate commodity codes
-
Select Spec items with unique combination of short code, option code and size range
-
Define Specification Notes as per industry practices.
-
Associate Notes to spec items as applicable.
-
Build Idents as per specification requirement.
