The traditional method of creating drawings and working directly in the plant is still supported. There is no requirement to make use of the new project features if they are not needed. When a new plant is created, projects are disabled by default. You must explicitly enable projects before any project can be created. However, after you have enabled projects for a plant, you can no longer edit the plant directly. All changes to the plant must be done through a project.
