The Asset Model Development Kit (AMDK) allows you to define baselines, baseline types, and filters. First, you create the baseline types you want to use. Then, you can define the baseline filters, which rely on saved queries you created, to identify the object types, properties, and references to include in each baseline type.

To create or modify a baseline type:

  1. Open the Asset Model Development Kit (AMDK) on the Integrity server. To open the AMDK, run the following file:

    InstallPath\DataCollector\AMDK.exe

  2. Select [PAS Baselines] in the Asset Model field.

  3. Click Baselines > Baseline Type Definition.

The Baseline Type Definition window is displayed. This window allows you to customize the default baseline types, apply the baseline types to a specific asset model, and apply the baseline types to specific object types within a selected asset model.

  4. If you want to create a new baseline type, complete the following steps:

    1. Click the Add (+) button next to the Baseline Type field.

    2. Type a name for the new baseline type in the Name field, and then click OK. The name should have a unique value.

  5. If you want to modify a baseline type, complete the following steps:

    1. Select the baseline type you want to modify in the Baseline Type field.

    2. Use the Asset Model and Filters fields to define the filters needed for this baseline type. For more information about filters, see Creating Baseline Filters.

You can also define groups of baseline types, and a hierarchical order of baseline types within those groups. For more information, see Defining Baseline Type Groups and Hierarchical Order.
