Once the PAS Recon asset model is in place and the Windows system data is being collected, you can set up patch management. You need to import the PAS Patch Management asset model, so you should have set up Cyber Integrity to get the latest model, or you can contact Technical Support. Then, you need to create the patch management data owner (asset) and identify one or more Recon data owners to include in the patch management assessments.

To configure the patch management assessment:

  1. If the PAS Patch Management asset model has not yet been imported, import the PAS Patch Management asset model by completing the following steps:

    1. In the Admin Utility, click the Asset Models link.

    2. Click the Browse button to select the folder where you stored the PAS Patch Management asset model, such as InstallPath\DataCollector\Asset Models. Since the Data Collector cannot access files on mapped drives, use only Universal Naming Convention (UNC) paths.

    3. Click PAS Patch Management in the Available asset models list, and then click the right arrow (>) button to move it to the Asset models to be imported list.

    4. Click the Import button. Integrity displays a message to confirm a successful import.

  2. Create the patch management data owner by completing the following steps:

    1. In the left pane, click the Asset Configuration link.

    2. Click Add to create a new asset.

    3. In the Asset Name field, type Patch Management, or another name you want for the patch management data owner. Asset (data owner) names can have a maximum of 50 characters.

    4. In the Asset Model field, select PAS Patch Management.

    5. Click OK.

  3. In the Recon DataOwner(s) property value, type the names of the PAS Recon data owners you want to include in patch management assessments. These are the data owners you defined for the PAS Recon assets. To assign more than one data owner, separate each name with a comma. Cyber Integrity performs patch assessment for the assigned PAS Recon assets.

  4. Click Save.
