By adding monitored systems to a policy, you define which systems to compare with the policy and display exceptions on the dashboard in the Cyber Integrity web interface. This information helps make sure exceptions can be acted upon in a timely manner.

When you are initially developing a policy, you may want to add only one monitored system as a benchmark. This process allows you to compare the large group of policy items to a single system, which can help you adjust and fine-tune the policy as needed.
