The SAP project structure is generally imported in an equivalent way that it is shown in SAP as a hierarchy of WBS, Networks, Activities and Orders. The various SAP project structure objects are imported to EcoSys as a Cost Object hierarchy:

However, there are some small differences in how the hierarchy is represented in EcoSys based on differences in EcoSys business rules.

The main difference is how Networks are imported. In SAP, a single Network can have Activities that reside under different WBS elements – which is not possible according to EcoSys business rules.

For this reason, the SAP Connector implements Networks so that they are created under each WBS where it has Activities. This means that a single Network in SAP may be copied multiple times in EcoSys according to how many WBS elements the Activities are assigned. This has no practical impact aside from how the objects are displayed in EcoSys.
