SAP Purchase Orders are imported to EcoSys as Tasks with a Task Type of "Commitment".
The data mapping of PO’s in EcoSys implemented slightly differently than in SAP.
In SAP, PO’s are global objects where line items are assigned to project objects, such as a WBS or Activity. It is possible that line items on the same PO are assigned to objects in different SAP projects.
In EcoSys, PO’s are assigned to the project. The EcoSys project assignment is determined by which project the line items are assigned to. For example, if some line items of a PO are assigned to a WBS in Project A and other line items of the same PO are assigned to a WBS of Project B, then this PO will be created twice in EcoSys under both Project A and B.
This structure allows the Actuals and Commitments to roll-up properly in the EcoSys dashboard screens.
