The P6 Connector maintains an automated mapping between EcoSys and P6. With the exception of the Project level mapping (described above), all imports of data from P6 to EcoSys are mapped based on the P6 Object ID to the EcoSys External Key. This maintains a natural, one-to-one mapping between EcoSys and P6 records.
The data mapping can be viewed through the P6 Connector audit module within EcoSys. The audit module displays all the system-level fields for all imported P6 data, including the External Key. The P6 Object ID field is not visible from the P6 user interface, so you can view the mapping only through EcoSys audit module.
For data exported from EcoSys to P6, EcoSys will maintain a custom field called "P6 Object Id". This "P6 Object Id" will be updated back to EcoSys after the records are created in P6. The EcoSys External Key field is not used when exporting data to P6.
