All P6 Connector Jobs have been configured to provide default behavior that makes sense for most EcoSys/P6 integration use cases. It is expected that clients will have integration requirements that go beyond this default behavior.
Some of this behavior can be controlled through the EcoSys Connect Global Settings. For more information on these specific settings, see the P6 Connector Connect Jobs.
In other cases, it is necessary to configure the relevant Connect Job itself to fulfill the integration requirements.
In general, following are the 3 types of configuration changes that must be performed:
-
Changing field mappings
-
Adding P6 Codes or Custom Fields to an import
-
Changing business logic, such as summarization or data transformations
It is recommended to save the original Connect Job before making any changes to the
default configuration. For more information, see Archiving Connect Jobs.
