Displays Isogen and user-specified attributes that are currently allowed for components.
Component attributes are similar to pipeline attributes in terms of configuration but are specific to components such as valves or pipe. Typically, Isogen outputs component attributes to the Bill of Materials on the isometric drawing and in the material report.
Attribute names and descriptions
ITEM-DESCRIPTION
Provides a description of the component. Overrides the material description assigned from the specification. This attribute allows components with the same item code to have different material descriptions.
NAME
Provides a user-specified identifier for the component.
CATEGORY
Indicates where the pipeline object is assembled along with other pipeline objects to form a spool or pipeline. Valid input data is NONE, FABRICATION, ERECTION, or OFFSHORE.
STATUS
Controls the appearance (solid or dotted) of a pipeline object in the Isogen-generated drawing and indicates whether it is dimensioned. Valid input data is STANDARD, DOTTED-DIMINESIONED, DOTTED-UNDIMENSIONED, or UNDIMENSIONED.
REPEAT-PART-NUMBER
Specifies the part number to be assigned to the component.
PIPING-SPEC
Specifies the default piping specification reference.
TRACING-SPEC
Specifies the default tracing specification reference.
INSULATION-SPEC
Specifies the default insulation specification reference.
PAINTING-SPEC
Specifies the default painting specification.
MISCELLANEOUS-SPEC1 to MISCELLANEOUS-SPEC5
Provides for up to five user-specified miscellaneous specification references that can hold additional, arbitrary data.
JACKET-SPEC
Specifies the default piping specification for the pipeline components that form part of the jacket.
INSULATION
Indicates whether the component is insulated. Valid input data is ON or OFF.
TRACING
Indicates whether the component is traced. Valid input data is ON or OFF.
REVISION
Indicates the pipeline pipeline revision in which the component was introduced. Typically, this value is one or two alphanumeric characters, but a maximum of 56 alphanumeric characters is allowed.
PLANT-AREA
Specifies the Plant Area identification number in which data is a single digit in the range 1-9. You use this attribute in conjunction with WASTE to allow variation on the basic wastage factor when calculating pipe lengths in each AREA of a project.
COMPONENT-REMARK-NUMBER
Associates a text remark with a component. Valid input data is a remark ID number that is extracted from a specified Remarks file during isometric generation.
WASTE
Specifies the basic wastage factor to be applied when the software calculates pipe lengths. Express the factor as a percentage (1 for 1%, 1.5 for 1.5%, and so forth). If WASTE is not specified, the default factor is 0%.
WEIGHT
Specifies the weight of the component in the specified units.
WEIGHT1 or WEIGHT2
Specifies the component weight for fabricated tees and crosses that have unequal branch bores. WEGHT1 applies to the following components: set-on cross, stub cross, set-on tee, stub tee, and fabrication Y-piece. WEIGHT2 apples to set-on cross, stub cross, and fabricated Y-piece.
BOP-ELEVATION
Overrides the standard elevation output for tees, crosses, bends, and elbows with a bottom of pipe elevation (BOP).
FLOW
Identifies the fluid or gas flow direction through a component. Valid input data is 1 (to indicate flow from first to second end as determined by the sequence of end point coordinates listed for the component) or 2 (to indicate the reverse of 1).
UNIQUE-COMPONENT- IDENTIFIER
Specifies a unique identifier for the component.
SUPPRESS-ITEM-CODE
Specifies whether the component item code displays in the material list. Valid input data is TRUE (suppress the item from displaying on the material list) or FALSE (display the item code on the material list).
MATERIAL-LIST
Specifies how Isogen handles the pipeline object in the material list that is generated for the isometric drawing. Valid input data is INCLUDE (display the object item code in the material list only), EXCLUDE (exclude the object item code from the material list), or INCLUDE WITH ISO (display the item code on the isometric drawing and in the material list; this option applies only to in-line components).
JACKET
Indicates whether the pipeline object is part of a jacketed system.
COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE1 to COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE100
Provides for up to 100 user-specified general-purpose component attributes.
