The Diagnostic Utility checks that a connection to the database can be made and that the necessary 3D Graphic Data Model tables are present. Possible results from the check are described below.

  • Database server {server name} could not be found

The utility could not find the database server specified in the settings file. Ensure that the proper database server has been specified and that the local system does have access to the database server system.

  • Database {server name}::{database name} could not be found

The Diagnostic Utility could not find the database on the server specified in the settings file. Ensure that the proper database server and database name have been specified and that the local system does have access to the database server system.

  • Database {server name}::{database name} does not have GDM tables

The database specified in the settings file does not contain the required 3D Graphic Data Model tables to run the 3D Graphic Data Service. Contact your system administrator or HxGN technical support (Smart Community) for help.

  • Login failed for database {server name}::{database name}

The login credentials specified in the settings file are not valid for the database specified. Ensure that the correct credentials have been entered.

  • Could not access database {server name}::{database name}

The Diagnostic Utility could not access the database for an unspecified reason. Ensure all settings are correct and if the problem persists, see your system administrator or HxGN technical support (Smart Community).
