Jovix to Smart Materials - Intergraph Smart Materials - 10.1 - Administration & Configuration - Hexagon

This section discusses the flow of item shipments data from Jovix to Smart Materials.

Only purchase orders (PO) of projects that have the project default ZI_JX_PROJ defined are integrated with the Jovix project.

Triggering point

1. When the PO ownership is transferred from Jovix to Smart Materials.

2. PO ownership is recalled by the Expediter from Smart Materials Expediting screen.

Item shipment Integration

The item shipment splits that are created during supplier staging in Jovix are integrated with Smart Materials. When you initiate transfer of PO ownership from Jovix to Smart Materials, then the following actions are triggered in Smart Materials:

• New item shipments are created.

• Quantities of existing item shipments are updated.

• These item shipments are integrated from Jovix to Smart Materials only if the PO is available in Smart Materials.

• PO Ownership depends on the following conditions:

  • When PO status in Jovix is set to SMAT Control then, the PO Ownership is with Smart Materials.

  • When PO status in Jovix is set to JOVIX Control then, PO Ownership is with Jovix.

• In case the item shipment integration fails, the PO status in Jovix is reverted to Jovix Control.

To transfer the PO Ownership, update the PO Status in Jovix accordingly.

1. You can transfer ownership in the following two ways:

   • Jovix initiated transfer of ownership to Smart Materials by changing the PO Status.

   • In Expediting, for a PO, when a user clicks Recall from Supplier, then the PO ownership is forcefully taken by Smart Materials from Jovix. Any new item shipment splits created in Jovix are also integrated to Smart Materials.

     Recall from Supplier button is enabled only when the project default ZI_JX_SWCH is set to Yes and the privilege ALLOW SUPPLIER INTEGRATION is assigned to the user.

2. When the PO ownership is transferred to Smart Materials, you cannot perform the following actions for this PO in Jovix:

   • PO status cannot be updated to Jovix Control and hence you cannot forcefully pull the PO ownership in Jovix.

   • Supplier Staging.

   • Create Receipts in Jovix.

Log files

You can check the item shipment integration status in the log files that are saved in the path defined in the DBA setting LOG_FILE_DEST.

• When the PO ownership is transferred from Jovix to Smart Materials, Jovix item shipment transfer log is created in the following format:

  JOVIX_PO_TRANSFER_OWNERSHIP_<JOVIX POHID>_<Date in dd-mm-yyyy_Time in hhmmss>.log.

• When the PO ownership is recalled from Smart Materials, then the following logs are created:

  • Ownership transfer log in the following format:

    JOVIX_RECALL_PO_OWNERSHIP_<SMAT POHID>_<Date in dd-mm-yyyy_Time in hhmmss>.log.

    This log is not part of Jovix Integration Reports. Howver, this log file is available in the path defined in the DBA setting LOG_FILE_DEST.

  • Jovix item shipment transfer log in the following format:

    JOVIX_PO_TRANSFER_OWNERSHIP_<JOVIX POHID>_<Date in dd-mm-yyyy_Time in hhmmss>.log.
