In October, we delivered the following new features and improvements to HxGN SDx2.
-
Troubleshooting help for HxGN SDx2 is now available on the Hexagon documentation site at HxGN SDx2 Troubleshooting.
-
You can now easily view multiple PDFs or PDF-renditions quickly in new browser tabs. This view-only feature is an ideal option when you have no markup or markup-tool requirements, allowing for significantly faster loading speeds. (4446047)
-
Administrators can now create and configure reports to run in the background, allowing you to work on other tasks while your report processes. For more information, see Configure a report to run as a scheduled task. (3221597)
-
You can now distribute documents to a group of users in your own organization using the Internal Transmittal work process. This work process can be used to inform users in your own organization about new revisions of documents. Adding the documents to a transmittal allows you to distribute the documents to a group of users. These users are made aware of the updated documents and have direct access to them. For more information, see Working with transmittals. (4182225)
-
Submittal forms have been updated. To reduce complexity, some information has been removed from the submittal forms. The new forms will be part of a new HxGN SDx2 installation. For existing customers, reach out to your support center for assistance in converting your submittal forms. To know what has changed, go through the before and after screen shots of the forms. We are not automatically updating customer submittal forms, as you may have shared requirements with your contractors for submitting data using these forms. The simplified forms will make the submittal process much easier, more intuitive, and faster to execute. For more information, see Create a submittal. (4431930)
-
You can now use environment variables for argument 1 on the Web Client Extensibility methods. For more information, see WebClientExtensibility client API. (4537511)
-
You can now perform an extensibility action in HxGN SDx2 against multiple objects using the WebClientExtensibilityMultiple client API. (4401882)
-
We recommend you use the launch URL syntax when creating a link to the Web Client. For example, https://domain.com/#/launch/run. For more information, see Launch URL examples.
