Beginning with Update 15, The Resolve_IssuePurpose computed column in the MDR planning and deliverable submittal mappings has been modified to accommodate spaces in the issue purpose with the help of an environment variable, COLLABORATIONISSUEPURPOSESBYNAMEINCREATECONFIG. Beginning with Update 14, two versions of each Data Validator mapping can be delivered when upgrading an SDx system.

The master Data Validator mapping (MSR) version is supplied for reference only and cannot be used or edited. However, it can be copied. For more information, see Copy Data Validator master mappings.

The working copy of the Data Validator mapping (HEX) version can be used, updated, and edited.
If there have been any changes made to the existing mappings, only the MSR version is upgraded. The existing HEX version is not upgraded to avoid you losing any customization that has been developed for your system. You must manually upgrade your HEX version to include any new changes featured in the upgraded MSR version.
This upgrade process protects any future upgrades of the MSR mappings from unwanted side effects if you have edited the mappings to meet your own Data Validator process needs.

For any new implementation that requires Data Validator mappings, both the upgraded MSR and HEX versions are delivered.

If Data Validator mappings do not exist on the SDx system, both the latest upgraded MSR and HEX versions are delivered.
Any changes made to the Data Validator mappings previously delivered in SDx 2019 (10.0) are not upgraded. Only the mappings
master (MSR) version is delivered. Your existing mappings are treated as the editable
copy and must be upgraded manually to include any new changes featured in the upgraded
MSR version.
