This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Prepare the change request (modified in an update).

  1. Select the Change Request in your To Do List , and then select Actions > Prepare change.

    The Prepare Change page is automatically displayed when you select Prepare Change when creating a change request.

    The Prepare Change page provides a single location to update your change request, such as:

    • Adding/Updating details

    • Marking up the changes that you are requesting

    • Attaching drawings, files, or other documents

    • Relating documents and tags

  2. Carry out the required tasks as described below and select Complete to send the change request to the Evaluate feasibility step. For more information, see Evaluate the change request.

You can also select Save as Draft to save the change request so that you can continue working on it later.

You can do the following in the same page when you proceed to further steps:

  • Review any rejected change actions

  • Initiate an internal change action

Edit or add details

  • Select Update to add or change details of the change request.

Relate documents and tags

  1. Select Manage Documents or Manage Tags to display the documents or tags in the Results window.

  2. Select the documents or tags to include.

    • You can also search for documents or tags in the search bar.

    • You can use the Filter by options to return more targeted search results.

  3. Select RELATE.

  • The related documents and tags are displayed in their respective DOCUMENT VERSIONS and TAGS tabs. You can use these tabs to relate additional documents and tags:

    1. In the relevant tab, search for required documents or tags using the search bar.

    2. Select the documents or tags in the list of results, and select RELATE.

  • You can also use FILTER options when searching for documents.

Attach files

  • Select Manage related files to attach files from your computer to the change request.

View potential conflicts and impacts

Markup documents with comments and actions

  1. Select Expand icon next to a related document to show the available versions.

  2. Select the document to open the View and Markup page.

    SHARED Tip If the document is a published Hexagon model that has been transferred to the Facilities Data Warehouse using Data Validator, you can select Show repeated results VIRShowRepeatedResultsButton in the Visual Intelligence panel to group and view tags belonging to more than one change request. For more information, see Using visual intelligence to analyze your data.

  3. Select followed by New markup.

  4. Select the type of markup from the Annotations list.

  5. Select Save markup once you have completed your changes.

Manage markup layers

  • Select Manage Markup Layers to choose the markup layers to include in the consolidated files of the change request. For more information, see Manage markup layers.

In the Manage Markup Layers page, any markup layers created for the change request are automatically selected.
