Work packages support the planning workflow for plant maintenance or inspection work packages, or work orders, created in other plant operations software, such as SAP. Once a work order is created, SDx Operations makes it easy to find and then add the needed documents, drawings, and other information to a work package. You can mark up documents and drawings with comments or changes about the expected work, then attach them to the work package.

You can create two types of work packages:

  • Maintenance work package

  • Inspection work package

  • To learn more about the work packages that are available with SDx Projects, see Using work packages on a project.

  • If the Allow workflow step to auto delete markup(s) option is enabled in the System Options, the markups related to the work package are automatically deleted when the work package is approved. For more information, see Select to automatically delete markups.

SHARED Tip You need to claim your workflow step when multiple users are assigned to the same user role. To claim a workflow step, select Actions > Claim Workflow Step.
