While preparing actions or responses, any markup layer created is related to the communication object. This relationship is used to identify the context and preselect the layers created in that context.
-
For the layers created outside the current scope, the context type does not exist and the layers do not get autoselected.
-
If a responder or a reviewer waives a review, the association between the markup and the communication object is delinked.
-
If a consolidator completes a response or review while it is in a draft state, the association between the markup and the communication object is delinked.
Manage document markup layers
In the document review consolidation, you can manage which markup layers you want to associate with a specific document, so only the relevant markup layers are attached to the document. This provides you with control of how the consolidated rendition PDF file is sent with the document review.
From a Document Review Consolidation
-
Click Documents Summary > Manage Layers on a document.
-
In Manage Document Markup Layers, click a file name in the left summary pane.
Click this
To do this
Each markup layer
To see more details in the right pane, which displays the context, any text markups created by the user, any pinned actions, and the rendition relationships generated by the system.
RELATE LAYERS TO ACTIONS check box
To enable the actions raised in reviews using the action pins to use the same rendition as the document. The RELATE LAYERS TO ACTIONS check box sets the relation between the actions created from the action pins and the markup.
Clear the RELATE LAYERS TO ACTIONS check box
To manage the markup layers on the pinned actions.
The system remembers the state of the RELATE LAYERS TO ACTIONS checkbox for only the current review, on exiting the Manage Document Markup Layers dialog box.

The icon indicates that the file cannot be viewed, either because the web file has not yet been generated or because the base Hexagon file is not available. See Manually generate or regenerate WebGL viewer files for Hexagon 2D and 3D files (retired) for details of how to generate the web file. Contact your administrator if the base file is unavailable.
-
You can also manage layers on an individual action to include a subset of all the layers available. Once the review is closed out, the actions are put in a workflow which generates the renditions for the actions.
-
If the layer has the context from where the layer is created, the context type is displayed for each markup layer.
-
If the layer is created from the current review, the context type is highlighted in blue and appears on top of the other layers.
A consolidator can select all the context layers created from the current review by selecting the SELECT LAYERS BY CONTEXT check box.
