eLearning is available for this topic. Check it out here: HxGN SDx® | Introduction and Working with Reports

Reports are located in the relevant feature sets. For example, a document revision report is available in the Documents feature set.

You can use the following types of reports in the Web Client:

  • Saved reports to Excel, ListView, and more from the Reports feature set.

  • Summary report charts from tiles in the relevant feature sets.

  • Formatted Word reports on objects.

  • Visual intelligence reports on published models (that are transferred to the Facilities Data Warehouse using Data Validator) or models streamed from the Visualization Data Service (VDS) within View and Markup.

The following output formats are supported by Adhoc reports in the Web Client:

  • XHTML - The results are displayed in a new browser tab.

  • ListView - The results are displayed in a list format in a new window.

  • CSV - The results can be downloaded as a CSV formatted text file, one row per data item.

  • CSV Repeated - The results can be downloaded as a CSV formatted text file with rows repeated for each primary and related object.

  • Excel (OpenXML) - The results can be downloaded as an Excel file. There is an option to use a template Excel file that can contain a macro to run to further manipulate the data as required. The macro must be specified to run when the file is opened, as Open XML does not support the running of macros.

  • Custom Report - The results can be sent to third-party applications, such as Crystal Reports or Adobe Acrobat.

Running the reports using query scopes returns the data based on the query scopes set. The results are displayed in tabs in an alphabetical order that corresponds to each selected configuration. For more information on query scopes, see Understanding scopes.
