Measure

Performs point-to-point measurement.

Turns measurement on (expanded control) and off (collapsed control). When expanded, use control commands to create point-to-point measurements. For assistance with taking measurements, see Measure distances in a Hexagon 3D model file formats.

The following actions are available while taking measurements:

Expand/Collapse - Expands or collapses the measure control. When collapsed, measurement is turned off.

Start/Stop - Turns on and off placement of measure points. Tap to enable point-to-point measurement and then tap on an object or location in the model to start measurement. When you tap the next object or location, the measurement displays between the two points. Tap Place Measurement again to stop measurement. To exit Fly mode, press F.

For more information on using Fly mode, see Tips for using Fly mode.

Viz_Select

Select

Selects graphical objects. The Select Floating Action Bar (FAB) is displayed when you click this. The Select FAB options are described in the FAB table below.

Zoom Area

Enlarges the display in the view to a defined rectangular location.

Undo

Sets the view to the previous one. Use Undo to move back to the previous positions. You can also Undo by pressing CTRL + Z.

Redo

Reverses your last view position change. You can also Redo by pressing CTRL + Y.

Refresh

Updates the view with the latest data.

The Refresh command reduces viewing performance since this re-runs the workspace query that creates the graphic tree structure.

This command is only available in 3D Project As-Built (PAB) environments.

Layers

Displays all sheet and SmartFrame layers associated to the current drawing. You can turn one or more sheet and SmartFrame layers on and off to filter the display and see specific objects. When you turn sheet and SmartFrame layers off, you cannot see objects assigned to the layers. If you turn off all SmartFrames associated to a sheet layer, the sheet layer is also turned off.

Section

Provides a 3D axis that you can move to clip areas inside the model. This allows you to see inner portions of the model that would not otherwise be visible. Select any axis and move it forward and backward with respect to the axis point direction.

Click and drag an arrow on the axis to reveal and hide the inner portions of the model.

You can turn Section on and off by pressing ESC.

Capture

Takes a screenshot of the current view and saves it to a snapshot.png file. The method of saving the file to a folder location depends on your browser and operating system. You can automatically save the snapshot file to the Downloads folder for Chrome browsers.

You can also press G to take a screenshot.
