Install the VDS Web Server - HxGN LiveView - Administration & Configuration

You can install the VDS Web Server software on your application server or on a separate server. We recommend that you install VDS on a separate server from any other web services (authorization server or web API servers), if possible.

The software items listed below are included with the VDS Web Server.

• HxGN 2D Graphic Data Service

• HxGN 3D File Service

• HxGN 3D Graphic Data Service Web API

• HxGN Visualization Edge Gateway Service

• HxGN VDS Configuration Utility

• HxGN Visualization Diagnostic Utility.

You must have administrator privileges on the computer to remove and install the software. We recommend using the Run as Administrator option.

1. Double-click HxGN_VDS_Setup.exe.

2. In the HxGN Visualization Data Service Welcome window, click Start Setup.

3. In the Details and Features window, enter your User Name and Company.

4. In the Select Features To Install section:

   1. Select the Visualization Data Service for Web Server to install the VDS Web Server.

   2. Select Requisite Components to ensure all required components will be installed. To change the Install Path, enter the new path for the software.

5. Click Next. All information must be provided to enable the Next button. Required information is marked by a red star.

6. Click Finish when the installation is complete.
