Version 3.0 Updates

HxGN P&ID LiveView:

  • You can now set the scope to either the Plant or Project level. A Project level scope allows you to search for objects assigned to a specific project. See Sign in and go.

  • Search and property view enhancements:

    • Search results and detailed property views for drawings now include the Drawing Path property, which provides hierarchy information.

    • Search results for data objects and detailed property views now include the SP_ID property used as a unique item identifier.

      See Item Search/Sort.

Version 3.0

  • You can view 2D documents in a new interactive viewer in their native formats such as .sma, .sel, and .pid. Within the viewer, you can select graphics and view associated engineering properties. This functionality is enabled by the Visualization Data Service (VDS), which is a new prerequisite for LiveView 3.0. See Set up the VDS Web Server

HxGN P&ID LiveView:

  • A new graphics viewer has been added that contains review features.

  • You can review a drawing in its native format.

  • Standard properties display for a selected item in a drawing. See Display P&ID.

  • You can now select Off-Page Connectors (OPCs) to open a P&ID drawing. See Review items.

HxGN Instrumentation LiveView:

  • Additional reports are supported for cables, terminal strips, and panels.

  • EDEs that are defined without a PAU hierarchy can now be opened in Instrumentation LiveView

  • Instrumentation reports can be generated irrespective of the INTools preference format setting for enhanced reports.

  • Use of SMB v1 network protocol is no longer required. This eliminates the requirement to share a folder to store generated reports.

  • Deleted projects are no longer listed when selecting the scope.

HxGN Electrical LiveView:

  • A new graphics viewer has been added that contains review features.

  • You can review an electrical SEL document in its native format.

  • Standard properties display for a selected item in an electrical document.
