This document describes functionality that allows the mobile user’s WOs to be geographically displayed on a map based on their optimized dispatch sequence assigned by the Constraint Optimizer integration.
The primary use of this screen is to show a maintenance user:
-
Where their work orders are located geographically on a map.
-
The sequential order in which they should be started/completed.
Users will be able to perform the following functions:
-
View their location on the map relative to their WOs.
-
Get driving directions to their WOs.
-
Capture/record travel time to WOs.
-
Hyperlink to each WO displayed on the map to see the details and perform/document the work, then return to the map for their next sequential WO.
-
This screen is only available in the Digital Work application.
-
Although the primary purpose of this screen is to show WO activities whose dispatch records contain a dispatch Sequence, the screen will also show dispatch records without a Sequence for the crew/employee (i.e., these are WO activities that were manually dispatched using the GIS Map WO Dispatching screen).
-
This screen only displays WOs that have been dispatched. It does NOT show WOs that are scheduled or assigned.
-
Apple Maps will be used for iOS.
-
Google Maps will be used by Android.
