The notebook functionality in EAM is used to record notes about a defect on a piece of equipment or to record notes in general. These notes can be shared with other employees through the Emails tab on the Notebook screen. When creating a notebook record, the user can populate Level fields, which are related to the equipment. These fields show equipment records that are based on a hierarchy structure, which is set up on the Structure tab. The setup must be done properly so that the level fields and equipment populate on the Notebook screen. This brief discusses the setup information for that and the Notebook screen in general.
