The following are steps for sharing ArcGIS runtime content (locator files) for offline geocoding purposes and should be used for any map that could potentially be used in offline mode. Four locator files will be generated using these steps. Together these files are referred to in this section as ‘runtime content’.
Pre-requisite:
Geocoding locator must be available. If not, one will need to be created prior to beginning this section.
-
Composite locators are NOT supported by the Mobile Transit app at this time. Single locators must be used.
-
In offline mode, locator files specified by the URL defined in the mobile geocoding service EAM install parameter MOBGEOFL will be used by the mobile application. These files will be downloaded to the device if an internet connection is available.
-
In online mode, the geocoding service defined in EAM install parameter GISGEOSV will be used.
