This program can be launched from the main storage memory or a storage card of a mobile device. This program is best suited for SMS types of deployment, where the package is deployed into the device through SMS and patch applications, where each time the program is launched it reinstalls the application. The database file is only replaced when there is a database version difference.

For Pocket PC 2003 devices, you can define a configuration file to specify where HxGN EAM Mobile is installed. See Defining a configuration file for the installation location.

Connect the handheld device to the docking station.
Insert the storage card.

The name of your device's storage card folder listed in the following steps may differ, such as SD CARD instead of STORAGE CARD.

Choose one of these based on your device's operating system:

Option	Description
Pocket PC	Copy the Setup\storage card\Pocketpc\2577 folder from the HxGN EAM Mobile CD to anywhere on the mobile device, including the storage card. QUICKDEPLOY.EXE runs from any location as long as the .EXE file and all other cab files are in the same folder.
Windows Mobile	Copy the Setup\storage card\wm5.0\2577 folder from the HxGN EAM Mobile CD to anywhere on the mobile device, including the storage card. QUICKDEPLOY.EXE runs from any location as long as the .EXE file and all other cab files are in the same folder. The system prompts you to select the target location for the setup. Select to install Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 and Microsoft SQL Server® 2005 Mobile Edition to the device (main memory). You can install HxGN EAM Mobile to the main memory or on the storage card.

Select to install Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 and Microsoft SQL Server® 2005 Mobile Edition to the device (main memory). You can install HxGN EAM Mobile to the main memory or on the storage card.

Tap on the following file to start the HxGN EAM Mobile installation: My Device\storage card\2577\QUICKDEPLOY.EXE.

If QUICKDEPLOY.EXE is specified as an SMS start program, it is started by the SMS client after SMS finishes deploying all programs to the device.
After installing the necessary files, HxGN EAM Mobile displays the Save As screen.
Select Location to save the HxGN EAM Mobile application to the main memory or on the storage card. HxGN EAM Mobile saves the application.

If you install HxGN EAM Mobile on a handheld device with a storage card, you must keep the storage card in the handheld device to run HxGN EAM Mobile.
