Physical Inventory | Parts – Ability to navigate to next/previous record in edit mode
The ability to navigate to Next/Previous record in edit mode, has been added to this tab. When the user touches a record on this list, it will not go into view mode like other tabs but will go directly into the edit mode. This edit mode will have the save button in the bottom along with the Previous and Next buttons – which can be used to navigate to the next/previous record on the list in edit mode. Either of these buttons will be disabled if no records exist before or after the touched record on the list.
If the user navigates to the next/previous record after making changes without touching save, then, the value of the install parameter AUTOSAVE will be honored (if turned ON).
Scan on Insert/Edit mode
A new check box has been added to the settings form after login, called Enable Scan on Insert/Edit.
Turning this check box ON, will enable a toolbar in the insert/edit mode available for Text and Number fields only. This toolbar will have the Barcode and NFC icon and will show the highlighted text field’s label. The user can touch the Barcode icon to access the device’s camera, to input data into this text field (or) use the Barcode icon for data entry. The default value for this check box is OFF.
To further expand on the scanning ability across the system, NFC scanning has also been added to the Checklists form and the Issue transaction screen.
On the Checklists form: The default search field on Checklists is Sequence. When using the NFC scan, the user may need to change the quick filter field, adjust grid layout, or set up a new default dataspy with any field you want to be the default search field. The first field in the grid layout will be the default search field.
On the Issue transaction screen: The Enable Scan on Insert/Edit check box will not have an effect on the Issue transaction screen, since it follows different rules for toolbar rendering (the toolbar will always be available, since this is a scan-friendly screen).
Edit photo size before uploading onto the server
A new install parameter DWPICSIZ has been added in base EAM, to control the maximum file size in MB, for the photo to be uploaded when using the Quick Document Upload - Take a Picture or Select from Image Library option.
If a value of the install parameter DWPICSIZ is specified, then, the system will resize the image from the library before uploading it onto the server – as per the value of this install parameter. The image resize will take the minimum value between DWPICSIZ and MAXFILESIZE. If the value of this install parameter is NULL or invalid, then the picture will be resized to MAXFILESIZE if the picture size is larger.
Configure this install parameter according to your business needs and upload bandwidth capability.
Autorun checklists on save
A new install parameter DWCHKRUN has been added to base EAM, to determine whether to automatically run the dataspy when the user saves the checklist items. Set to ON to run the dataspy when a user touches the Save button on the checklists form. Set to OFF to only save the checklist items when the user touches the Save button.
Operator Checklists will always behave like DWCHKRUN = ON given the fact that the header for operator checklists must also be refreshed.
Ability to Share All Logs
A Share All icon has been added to zip/compress ALL the log files into one .zip file for easy sharing of the log files.
Flashlight for Scan
A Flashlight icon has been added to the camera’s interface when the user touches the QR/Barcode scanner for scanning. Touching this icon, will turn on the device’s flashlight. The Flashlight icon will only be available when the device supports flashlight.

Digital Work honors base EAM CD key for GIS Module
Map view screens (ESRI-based only) - Changes have been made so Digital Work will honor the base EAM CD key when verifying if the GIS module has been purchased. Previously, the mobile CD key was being verified, but now only the base EAM CD key will be used. Therefore, if the GIS module has been purchased for the base product, the module can also be used in Digital Work. This applies when any Digital Work screen or link is used to view an ESRI GIS map.
Device Location
Device Location - A new method of breadcrumb collection (i.e., device location recording) has been introduced. Because of this addition, the app now contains a new "prominent in-app disclosure" requesting permissions to use the device location. This new method is enabled using the new install parameter called GPSLSDMF (GPS Location Services Max. Frequency). In short, this location tracking method is based on collecting a breadcrumb each time the device moves a specified distance and runs in the background. Therefore, breadcrumb records are created even when the app is NOT in the foreground of the device. Collecting breadcrumbs using background processing is important as it continues to provide device location updates as field crews/employees drive greater distances to get to work locations while their devices are asleep and stored. This new type of breadcrumb collection should be enabled when dynamic dispatching using the Constraint Optimizer integration is in use, although it can be used without this integration.
