The EAM user will need the ability to view room availability for visibility to the guest and guest status as it may affect scheduling, or they will need to work with the HMS Front Office manager to schedule the maintenance as current room assignments and hotel occupancy will impact start and end dates. For future release, development of a web part should be reviewed to give EAM users the ability to view room availability in HMS and set work order start and end dates based on these criteria.

In an integrated environment, no work orders will be directly entered in HMS. It will be revisited to include an install parameter in HMS to disable the ability to create work orders within the system.

In a future release of HMS, functionality for HMS users to view work orders in EAM should be reviewed. In this manner, the HMS user will have the ability to move guests or proactively set rooms as out-of-service.

In HMS, for guest reservations that include special accommodations or promotions, functionality will be reviewed to provide for a web part to enable such requests to be entered to the EAM Call Center (i.e., Incident Request) as an incident with a follow up work order if the request is not set up to automatically create the work order.
