In HMS, upon Check-In, the following update and data transfer will occur:

Data will be transmitted from HMS to update the equipment record that resides in EAM; transmitted data includes the equipment ROOM, GUEST, and VIP STATUS.

The ROOM will have the OCCUPANCY set to occupied.

The guest name will be assigned as GUEST.

The guest status will be assigned to VIP STATUS, if a value has been set.
The name of the primary guest for a hotel reservation will be recorded upon arrival. The EAM user will assume that a room is occupied if guest information is populated to the room record.

If the primary guest checks into a room in HMS, then the primary guest is written to the ROOM record.

If the first guest checking in is a secondary guest, the primary guest information will be transmitted and populated to EAM.
