Configure SSL environment to set up security for a site.

Ensure the signed server certificate and key files are available. A test certificate and key combination may be used to initially verify that HTTPS connectivity is operating correctly; however, Infor strongly recommends a valid certificate signed by a reputable certificate authority, such as VeriSign, be used in production installations.

Common Name (CN) attribute must be a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) that the web server resolves to. Otherwise, the web browsers will not be able to verify if the certificate belongs to the web server that is presenting it.

The information in this section is based on the assumption that port 80 is employed as the non-SSL port, port 443 as the SSL port, and that both ports are available. Adjust the steps below if employing an alternate port configuration.
