The list will show work order activities meeting all the following criteria:

  1. Work order Status (system status) <> ‘Awaiting Release’ or ‘Completed.’

  2. Activity is not completed (i.e., Completed checkbox is not selected).

  3. Assignment Status (system status) <> any of the ACTDISCP org. option user statuses that indicates the dispatched resources should be made available for dispatch again i.e., it does not need to be dispatched again.

These are the work order activities that are available to be dispatched. The dispatching process can be initiated by selecting 1 or more records in the list. Selecting a record can be done by simply left clicking on it. To select additional records the user can use the ctrl-click or shift-click methods.

As work order activities are selected in the list, the following will occur:

  1. The corresponding icons on the map will be made larger (i.e., selected) to indicate they have been selected.

  2. Refresh Available Employees (see Available employees section for details).

  3. Refresh Available Crews (see Available crews section for details).

  4. Refresh Dispatched Crews/Employees (see Dispatched crews/employees section for details).

  • The map will not be refreshed as work order activity icons on the map are selected; therefore, it is possible some icons for selected work order activities may not be in the visible extent.

  • The list is a standard grid with some equipment, work order, and activity fields available, including work order & activity UDFs. Also, the Dataspy can be set to run automatically when the screen is opened.

  • A 4-dot drag point is provided down the right vertical edge of the grid to allow the user to manually expand/collapse the list, as necessary.

  • The user can execute a hyperlink to the Work Order screen by double clicking a record in the list.

  • Records in the list can be unselected by ctrl clicking on them. By unselecting a record in the list, the system may need to refresh all other areas of the screen based on this change.

  • The work order activity list icon color can be configured to be based on work order Priority. See Work Order Priority GIS Dispatch Ranking for details. This list icon is always displayed for this screen and only requires configuration if the color should be based on work order Priority; else, it is always gray in color.

  • If the work order activity has been dispatched, a small, green checkbox is displayed on top of the work order Priority icon. This can be an indication in the list of work order activities that it has already been dispatched. Additionally, a grid field called Dispatched has been included in the Dataspy filter field list. This allows the dispatcher to filter to display only those work order activities which have not been dispatched or only those that ARE dispatched.

  • WO Authorization is supported for the WO activity list. Users must have update rights for the WO Status and Type for the record to be displayed.

  • WO Authorization does not impact employees or crews displayed on this screen.

  • Department Security is supported on this screen. It will impact the WO activity list and Available Employees. The user needs rights other than ‘read-only’ for the department for WO activities and Available Employees for them to be displayed.

    • Department Security does not impact Crews displayed on this screen because Crews are not associated to a Department. In addition, it does not impact the employees displayed for a Crew.

    • Department Security does not impact the Dispatched Crews/Employees section. Any employee dispatched to a work order activity for which the user has rights to will always be displayed in this section.

    • Department Security impacts the Create/Edit Crew popup the same way it impacts the calling screen, except:

      • If the user attempts to build a Proposed Crew by adding an existing Available Crew and that Crew has an employee for which the user does not have sufficient department security rights, an information message will be displayed, and that user will not be displayed in the Proposed Crew section.

      • If the Edit Crew popup is opened, it is possible to see employees in the existing crew (i.e., Proposed Crew section) for which the user does not have sufficient department security rights. If the Remove link is clicked for one of these employees, they will not be displayed in the Available Employees section because the user does not have sufficient rights.

  • A field called Dispatch Hrs. is available in this grid. It represents the number of hours that will dispatched for the WO activity when the Dispatch link is clicked for an employee/crew. See same calculation as below in the Available employees section.

Dispatched Hrs. = WO activity Hours Remaining / (Duration * People Required)
